Library Instruction is one of the four "pillars" of library operations, along with Individual Library Assistance, Access to Library Resources, and Access to Library Spaces. In this context Library Instruction refers to group instruction activities, which can take the form of librarians teaching as invited guests in face-to-face classes or synchronous online sessions, librarians being "embedded" in disciplinary courses within the learning management system, and librarians teaching credit-bearing courses on information literacy and research strategies.
