The following measures provide some insight into the satisfaction of students and other patrons with the services and resources provided by the college libraries.
Metric: The “Rate Your Student Experience” survey is administered each A and B term to students, measuring satisfaction with a wide range of student services and departments. Scores are based on a 4-point GPA-style scale, with students assigning a letter grade of A, B, C, D, or F to each of 22 different college services or departments. Here are the grades for the libraries for the three "A" terms during this past academic year:
Analysis:: The college libraries have historically been at the top in regard to Rate Your Experience rankings. The score for Summer A (2020) represent a significant decline, and the closure of the physical campus libraries during the entirety of this term may be the reason for the change in score. We are hopeful that reopening 3 of the 4 campus libraries in Fall 2020 may help restore a more positive score.

Metric: Per the "Chat Ratings" feature within the LibChat module in Springshare: "After each chat, the patron has an option to rate the chat and leave comments regarding the quality of the chat experience."
Analysis: Although most chat participants do not rate their experience, for the ones that do, the experience is overwhelmingly positive. It should be noted that these ratings reflect not only on SSC library faculty and staff, but also librarians who provide service to students after hours via a global cooperative service.
