Metric: The number of courses and sections with embedded librarians, and the number of students in those sections. Data is pulled from three semesters (Fall 2020, Spring 2021, and Summer 2021).
Analysis: In the 2020-21 academic year Librarians were embedded in 267 course sections. Librarians partnered with a total of 49 different faculty, reaching 5,634 students. This was a considerable increase over the previous academic year in terms of sections, faculty, and students. Although much of that increase may be attributable to the pandemic and a heavy emphasis on online instruction, it is anticipated that these numbers will continue at this level or greater, as more faculty have now been exposed to the benefits of the embedded librarianship program. It's also worth noting that this past year saw a much greater diversity of disciplines participating with the embedded librarian program.
