2020-21 will likely be the last year for a while to see this many sections and students in LIS 2004. Many students in the B.S. in Health Sciences program enrolled in this course over the last few years, as it was required for graduation. The LIS 2004 course has now been replaced as a required course with HSC 3057, which covers the same content and is taught by a library faculty member. The course numbering was changed to show a deeper integration within the context of the program, and this course has inspired a similar course for the B.S. in Nursing program, NUR 3161. It is hoped that additional research-focused courses within discipline programs will emerge in the future.
