Metric: The number of information literacy instruction sessions delivered synchronously, either in-person or online, in another discipline faculty member’s class, for the Fall 2021, Spring 2022, and Summer 2022 terms.
Analysis: In the 2021-22 academic year librarians taught 160 synchronous sessions reaching 2,712 students; 127 face-to-face sessions and 33 online sessions.
This is a considerable increase from the previous academic year, when librarians taught 92 synchronous sessions. The increase seems to be attributed to two factors: more opportunities for in-person sessions as the college offered more on-campus courses (jumped from 23 to 127), and the engagement of librarians in the new IDS 1107 (First Year Experience) course. This IDS 1107 course accounted for 31 sessions.
