Metric: A tally of the number of visits to specific LibGuides, each of which are created and developed by librarians. In the chart below, the guides shaded in green are those that are specifically mapped to academic departments/programs and integrated into courses within Canvas. "Research Essentials" refers to the LibGuide that Canvas points to when a discipline-based guide is not available.

Analysis: While some of the libraries' existing guides on the research process continue to attract widespread use beyond the college commmunity (see "Research Foundations" and "Research Tutorials" at the top of the list), the discipline/program specific guides accessible via Canvas also have high usage, and represent multiple schools, programs, and courses, It is a commonly held assertion in the profession that this "point of need" approach -- making discipline/course specific library resources available within the learning management system -- is valued by students, as it assists with the completion of course research assignments and other tasks requiring library resources.
