As more classes were offered on campus with the start of the Fall 2021 term, there was an uptick in attendance at campus libraries as well, although still below pre-pandemic levels.
Metric: A tally of the number of in-person visits to each of the four physical campus libraries.
Metric: The number of reservations (bookings) of enclosed study rooms at three of the college's campus libraries. Comparisons are between the last year we used our reservation system (2019-20) and the past year (2021-22).
Metric: Library staff document usage of specific areas, or zones, at three of the college's campus libraries.
Analysis: Although there was some underreporting of data this year, the data that was captured reveals a diversity in the use of library spaces within each library. It also shows that different areas were of greater priority at different campuses (Altamonte's highest use area were task study areas, for instance, while at SLM it was computer lab stations).
The two tables below are also informative, showing "heat maps" or peak times for overall usage of library spaces, at both the SLM and ALT libraries.
