SSC College Libraries Annual Review 2021-22

Library Programming Events

Seeking to proactively engage students returning to campus activity after the COVID pandemic, library faculty and staff created some new programming opportunities in 2021-22.  Those included "Nightbrary," a weekly series aimed to invite students in to the library space for recreation, social gathering, and learning.  Another event was a series of programs on Financial Literacy, developed in partnership with departmental faculty and Addition Financial.  Library faculty and staff also actively participated in fairs at the college, promoting library services and resources.  During 2021-22 a total of 47 such events were held, at which library faculty and staff engaged with 1,036 students.  These numbers are expected to grow substantially in 2022-23.
