Metric: A tally of individual questions asked at a library service point, reflecting a directional or basic informational inquiry. These questions are typically answered by Campus Coordinators, Library Public Services Assistants, and/or Student Workers.
Midway through the year, in January 2024, a decision was made to pivot from using a detailed form to record directional questions and to use a tally sheet instead. It was observed that due to the nature of directional questions, with many often coming in rapid succession at a campus Information Services Desk, that there was consistent underreporting of questions. It is hoped that the use of the tally sheet will address the underreporting issue. However, trend data will seem a little disparate until several years of tally sheet data are collected.
