Library Digital Display: National Poetry Month

Welcome to the Seminole State College Library's display of digital resources. Print resources are on display at Library entryways.

Introduction

April is National Poetry Month, a time to celebrate the power and beauty of poetry. This annual celebration was established in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets, and it has since become the largest literary celebration in the world. National Poetry Month is a time to read, write, and share poetry. It's an opportunity to discover new poets and revisit old favorites. Whether you're a seasoned poetry lover or just discovering the beauty of verse, there's no better time to explore the world of poetry than during National Poetry Month. So, pick up a book of poems, attend a poetry reading, or write a poem of your own – let's celebrate the art of poetry together!
