The Social Sciences department is launching the Spring 2023 video contest addressing Drug Use in America. All SSC students are invited to participate!
Video contest participants will examine Drug Use in America using a social science lens. Learning about this dilemma using credible sources that provide data and authoritative analysis of this phenomenon can contribute to our understanding of factors that impact this concern in the 21st century.
The purpose of the contest is to promote and reward excellence in student research and inquiry into the social sciences: history, political science, sociology, psychology, anthropology, and economics. The contest is designed to increase student interest in the social sciences and encourage a greater appreciation for this subject area and the critical role the social science disciplines play in understanding both the individual and society.
Social sciences are at the forefront of the drug race, providing research and answers to unending questions that present themselves daily. Register to attend the Spring Social Science Hour as we discuss possible answers to questions about Drug Use in America from a social science perspective.
