SSC College Libraries Annual Review 2022-23

Metric: The number of courses and sections with embedded librarians, and the number of students in those sections.  Data is pulled from three semesters (Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Summer 2023).  

Analysis:  In the 2022-23 academic year librarians were embedded in 346 course sections, taught by 80 different faculty, reaching 7,077 students.  This is a 5.4% decrease in sessions and an a 9.3% decrease in the number of students reached over the previous year.  The higher percentage of students returning to on-campus courses may account for this decline in embedded librarians, while the number of synchronous sessions on campus increased.
