Campus READ is a program sponsored by the Seminole State College Libraries started in 2025, thanks in part to a mini-grant funded by the Foundation for Seminole State. Now in it's second year, and funded by the Florida Blue Foundation, the program is expanding to allow even more students to read the selected title together and explore the work and its meaning, as well as, take part in related activities connected to the book and it's author.
Campus READ benefits students, faculty and staff by fostering a love for reading and creating a sense of community and shared experience. The program encourages students to engage with library services across the college campuses and online.
A variety of programming creates new connections between students, faculty and staff, through read-aloud sessions, silent book reads, creative expression, mental wellness, and author talks.
Campus READ is especially geared toward students in the First Year Experience program but is open to all Seminole State students, faculty and staff.
