Amy Mendoza is a Research and Instruction Librarian at the Oviedo Campus. Her research interests include Librarianship/Information Literacy, Medieval and Fantasy literature, and Rhetoric and Composition.
She grew up as an Air Force brat and lived in such places as England, Delaware, and Australia. When her father retired from the Air Force, her family settled in Florida. After earning an A.A. from Santa Fe Community College, she transferred to UF where she met her husband thanks to a Dragon Ball Z t-shirt and Shakespeare class. They now have two daughters, a husky, and two yellow-bellied slider turtles.
She earned a B.A. in English from UF, a M.A. in Medieval Studies from UCONN and a Master of Library Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University.
In her spare time, she likes to write fiction, watch anime, and try not to binge K-dramas, which is easier said than done.
