College Libraries Strategic Planning

Planning in a Time of Change

To say that 2020 and the first half of 2021 have been challenging would be the understatement of the century -- in so many ways the profession of librarianship, the industry of higher education, and our own personal lives have been impacted and shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic and by social justice movements.  These incredibly significant events have provided those of us who work in the Seminole State College Libraries the opportunity to re-examine our strategic priorities and to take on new initiatives. From January to June, 2021, the faculty and staff of the College Libraries engaged in discussion and planning to help us become a library system that more effectively serves all of our college's students, faculty, and staff.  What follows in the rest of this guide is the documentation of that process and our strategic plans for the upcoming 2021-22 academic year.  -- Morgan Tracy, Director of College Libraries
