Requesting Books
If a book is not available at your campus library, or if you are off-campus and searching for books to pick up at a future date, you can request the book be routed to any Seminole State library and held for you. Note the timeframes outlined below for each type of request.
You can request books through two different methods: the Place a Hold feature in the library catalog, using the statewide UBorrow service, or by filling out the Interlibrary Loan Form. Here is a chart to help you decide the best method to use:

Place a Hold Feature - Seminole State Libraries
The first place to check for a book is in the Seminole State library catalog. If you find a book you are interested in, click the Request Item tab below the book information. After logging into the library, you can place a request to have an item transferred between Seminole State libraries or to pick up at the same library. Books requested for transfer between Seminole State library campuses (e.g. Oviedo to Heathrow) take 1-3 business days to process. If you would like to hold a book at the same campus where the book is located, you can pick it up the next morning. The library staff will call or email you when the book is ready for pickup.

UBorrow Service- Other State College Libraries
To search for and request materials from other college or university libraries, use the statewide UBorrow service.. Once you find a book that you would like to request, select the UBorrow option and choose your pickup location, just like requesting from a Seminole State campus. Since the book will be coming from another college or university, items will generally take a bit longer to arrive: roughly 7-10 days.

Interlibrary Loan Form
If you still cannot find your book, you can fill out the Interlibrary Loan Request Form. Make sure to have the title, author, ISBN, and publication date ready for the form. You will also be required to fill out your name, MySeminole State username, email, phone number, and address.
This type of interlibrary loan could take up to three weeks to fulfill, so make sure to begin your book research early! The library will contact you as soon as your book has arrived.
