Metric: The number of information literacy instruction sessions delivered synchronously, either in-person or online, in another discipline faculty member’s class, between July 1 and June 30.
Analysis: In 2019-20 Librarians taught 227 synchronous sessions; 219 face-to-face sessions prior to the pandemic and 8 online sessions during the pandemic. Librarians partnered with a total of 66 different faculty to teach in 30 different courses, reaching 3,843 students. Four core courses (ENC 1101 & 1102, SPC 1608, and SLS 1301) accounted for 79% of synchronous sessions taught by librarians. It appears clear that the COVID pandemic impacted the number of synchronous sessions, as many face-to-face sessions scheduled in late Spring and Summer were cancelled and not replaced with remote sessions.
